At Old Sarum Primary School, we strive to give children the technical knowledge required to thrive in the ever changing technological world. The internet is an essential part of 21st century life for education, business and social interaction. We aim to provide students with an understanding of how to use technology safely by using learning experiences to inspire positive digital citizens.
We are fortunate that we are totally wireless and have a full class set of laptops. Our facilities enable the children to; become proficient, develop independence and be creative when exploring areas of the curriculum such as programming and digital literacy. We also have up to date technologies such as iPads and Beebots, which allow cross-curricular and unplugged activities, helping to reinforce computational thinking, but also other areas of learning through collaboration. The apps we use have been chosen to best support learning in a range of subject areas, and provide opportunities which would not otherwise have been possible.
