Old Sarum Primary School is seeking a caring and talented teaching assistant to support a pupil entering our Reception class in September 2019.

We welcome applicants who:

  • Are confident in working 1-1 or in small groups.
  • Have experience of working with young children who have speech and language needs.
  • Have the ability to work closely with the SENDCO and Class Teacher to devise appropriate individual programmes of work and behaviour management strategies.
  • Are confident to join our staff in supporting the medical needs of children, training will be provided.
  • Are motivated and flexible in their approach to support teaching and learning and are able to adapt to a variety of different needs.
  • Have a positive presence in the classroom with both the children and parents.

The Governing Body of Old Sarum Primary School is inviting applications for the position of Clerk to Governors. Applicants must be able to work at times convenient to the meetings of the full Governing Body which are held approximately 6 times a year plus attend termly committee meetings. Other elements of the post are more flexible and can be performed at home.

Duties will include taking minutes, arranging agendas, organising governor training and general correspondence. Training can be arranged through Wiltshire Council.
