Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium and Equality Information
The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and is funding allocated to schools to support pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years, or for children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. Funding is also provided for children of service personnel and children adopted from care, or who left care under a Special Guardianship Order / Residence Order. It is used to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
For 2021 to 2022, we will use the recovery premium alongside the pupil premium funding and report them as a single sum in the strategy statement. In order to take into account the needs of our new intake, the strategy statement for 2021 to 2022 will be published by 31st December 2021.
